Research and reading notes
Reading notes tend to start as a pile of links. In Intabula each source becomes a record with its own note, and the agent can fetch the page, fill in the fields and link the record to the notes it supports.
From link to record
Paste a few links into the chat and ask "make a reading note for each of these in reading". The agent fetches each page and creates one record per source, with fields like url, author and published and a short summary in the body. Ask it to search the web when you want it to find sources as well.
Link sources to your own notes
Ask the agent to link each source to the topic notes it supports, for example by adding topic: "[[sleep-and-memory]]" to the frontmatter or a [[wikilink]] in the body. Each record lists the records that link to it, grouped by collection: frontmatter links appear under the field name (via topic) and body links appear as mentions.
Fields you can sort by
Pin url as a url field, read as a date and rating as a number, either from the banner above the table or by asking the agent. The reading table then sorts by date or rating, and a saved table view in the sidebar can keep a filtered list such as the sources whose read date is still empty.
Conversations stay findable
Your conversations with the agent are stored on your Mac, outside the vault, and listed on the Conversations page in the sidebar. ⌘K searches them along with your notes. When a discussion about a source is worth keeping, open it and click Save as record…, or ask the agent to save it into reading; the exchange becomes the record's body.
A recurring check, if you want one
A bot can run on the reading collection on a schedule with a charter you write. Keep the charter to one precise job, such as "each Monday, fetch every url and set status: dead on records whose page no longer loads".
