Shared lists and household trackers

Intabula shares a collection by sharing its folder. No accounts, no invite links, no another-app-another-subscription — if you can share a folder in iCloud Drive, you can share a grocery list, a trip plan, or a house-project tracker.

Setting up a shared grocery list

1. Create a folder called Groceries in iCloud Drive and share it with your partner through the OS.
2. In Intabula, add it as an external collection. It appears in the sidebar like any other collection.
3. Add a record: "Oat milk", aisle: dairy, status: need.

Your partner opens the same folder on their phone and sees the same list. At the store they set status: got; the change syncs back through iCloud. The collection's schema travels in a dotfile inside the folder, so everyone gets the same columns, spelled the same way.

Beyond groceries

The same pattern fits any small shared project: a trip plan where each stop is a record with dates and booking links, a house renovation where each task has a status and a budget field and a note full of details, a family reading list. Each record is a full Markdown note, so the prose that never fits a shared to-do app has a place.

Teardown is deletion

When the project is done, delete the folder. There's no workspace to archive and no subscription to cancel — sharing and permissions were the operating system's job the whole time. Under it all, the list is plain Markdown files either of you can open with anything.
