Quick capture with drafts
A draft is a note you start before deciding where it belongs. You write it now and file it into a collection later, yourself or by asking the agent.
Start a draft
Press n anywhere outside a text field, or ⌘N in the Mac app. New draft on Home does the same. The draft opens with a Draft · not saved label and saves itself as you type. Drafts are files in the vault's .intabula/drafts folder, and Home lists them under Drafts so you can keep several going.
File it yourself
Click Save… in the draft's header, pick a collection and fill in any fields, and the draft becomes a record with your text as its body. Discard deletes it.
Or ask the agent to tidy and file it
The agent can list and read your drafts, and vault search includes them. Ask "tidy my last draft and file it into meetings": the agent edits the draft text first, checks the collection's fields, then files it with values that fit. Filing keeps the draft text exactly as it is at that moment, which is why the cleanup happens on the draft.
Draft text reaches the agent marked as your unfinished notes, so it can quote from it without treating every line as settled fact.
On iPhone
The iOS app has New note on Home and in the sidebar. Drafts sync with the vault folder, so one started on the phone appears under Drafts on your Mac and the other way round. Save… on the phone files a draft into a collection.
